Hey guys, I'm the writer & director of this film & just wanted to respond to a few things.
I bought my first Super 8 camera in 1984 as a 13 year old. Hugely inspired by Harryhausen/Rick Baker/Savini, I began making stop motion monster films, splatter fests, Friday 13th rip offs etc. In other words, I'm an old fart. So Brian's comments like...

couldn't be further from the truth. The script called for "floating zombie ghosts." & we did shoot everything practically. The floating ghosts were shot against blue screen -

...but ultimately some blue screen shots didn't work out - some shots required big elaborate camera moves which we discovered were beyond the range of our home made camera rigs, so we were forced to use CGI as a problem solver. It's worth knowing that this film was made on an incredibly low budget. At the end of the day it was actually cheaper to "fill in the gaps" with CGI than to do things my preferred way - & when you've got limited funds, sadly the cheaper way always wins out.
